Morocco is hosting the Club World Cup from February 2 to February 11, with matches being played in Rabat and Tangier.

Tickets for high-profile games were sold out within hours of going on sale leading to frustration among fans.

The event is seen by many Moroccans as a way to boost the country's bid to host the World Cup in 2030

however, there is skepticism as the country has failed in 5 previous World Cup bids.

There are concerns about the country's infrastructure, including public transport and airports, to host an event of the World Cup's scale.

There are also political challenges, as some African countries oppose Morocco's bids due to the country's claim on Western Sahara.

The recent culling of stray dogs in Tangier ahead of the Club World Cup has raised animal welfare concerns.
